How to Play Flappy Bird

1. 1Tap the board, click, or press Space to give the bird a flap of lift.
2. 2Guide the bird through the gap between each pair of pipes.
3. 3Every pipe you clear adds one point to your score.

Rules

• Gravity constantly pulls the bird down, so keep flapping.
• Touching a pipe, the ground or the top of the screen ends the run.
• Each cleared pipe scores one point.
• The run restarts from zero when you press Restart.

Controls

• Space bar or Arrow Up to flap on desktop.
• Tap anywhere on the board, or use the Flap button, on touch screens.
• Pause and Restart are in the toolbar above the board.

Tips & Strategy

• Use short, rhythmic taps instead of holding a burst of them.
• Aim for the middle of each gap so a mistimed tap still fits.
• Watch the next pipe, not the bird — it makes spacing easier to read.
